๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ป Open Developer Ecosystem
Honeyland has an open developer ecosystem that allows other developers to build games on top of the Honeyland assets to create infinite game experiences.
Developers will have access to the Honeyland APIs and software development kit (SDK) so they can use the Honeyland Bees, Lands, economy, Marketplace, and active player base to create whatever games they can imagine (within Honeyland's developer's terms of use).

Honeyland Game 'Mall'

The end result is a complete game ecosystem for players to play Honeyland's core play-to-own missions to earn HONEY, and an entire 'mall' of other games for players to provide unlimited game options and experiences.
In a short time, we imagine players will be able to race their Bees with other players, battle other player's Bees in turn-based battle games, visit a Honeyland casino to test their luck, compete in fashion shows with other Bee designers, compete against other players in skill-based games, and hundreds of other game options, all with games built by developers and game studios outside of Honeyland.

Developer Incentives

The big question we need to answer is 'why would talented developers spend their time developing games for Honeyland?'

Honeyland Developer Contests

Honeyland will make its developer APIs and SDK available sometime shortly after the launch of the game and will launch a developer contest to incentivize developers to build great games. Honeyland will award cash prizes to the best games. The first developer contest will launch as soon as the APIs and SDK are made available to outside developers. Contests will run regularly after the launch of Honeyland in Q3.
Contest details, including prizes, will be announced prior to the APIs and SDK being made available.

Established Game Economy

Perhaps the biggest incentive for developers is the ability to earn money as players play their games. Honeyland provides the token and economy for players to easily transact within their games. As players are earning HONEY through Honeyland play-to-own missions they will be able to spend it in the developer's games. A portion of this will be kept by Honeyland, but the majority will go directly to the developers.

Established User Base

Developers who build games will immediately have access to tens or hundreds of thousands of engaged users almost immediately. The most popular games will quickly be able to gain traction within Honeyland's established user base.
