Generations
There are 5 generations of Bees in Honeyland: Genesis, First Generation (Gen 1), Second Generation (Gen 2), Third Generation (Gen 3), and Z Generation (Z Gen or Gen Z).
Every Bee in Honeyland has a generation. The better the generation (shown above in descending order), the higher the game utility. Additionally, each generation has a specific breeding stats multiplier that is determined by their generation. The better the generation, the more likely they are to get a higher multiplier for their offspring.
Some Bees will be introduced into the game via NFT Eggs that can be hatched in our hatching machine. All other Bees will be introduced via Breeding or Starter Packs.
During the breeding process, the generation of the offspring will be determined by the generation of the male Bee used in the breeding process. If the male Bee is a Genesis Bee, its offspring will be a First Generation Bee. If the male Bee is a First Generation Bee, its offspring will be a Second Generation Bee. If the male Bee is Second Generation or Third Generation Bee, its offspring will be a Third Generation Bee. Z Generation Bees cannot breed.
In order to control the population of Bees in Honeyland, there are breeding limits as follows:
- Male Bees - can breed unlimited times (Z Generation Bees cannot breed)
- Genesis Queen Bees - can breed unlimited times
- First Generation Queen Bees - can breed a maximum of 18 times
- Second Generation Queen Bees - can breed a maximum of 12 times
- Third Generation Queen Bees - can breed a maximum of 6 times
- Z Generation Queen Bees - cannot breed
Additionally, each Universe has a Breeding Cost Multiplier that increases by 1.000005x with each additional breed in the Universe.
*The exact breeding costs may change over time and are subject to halving events
When breeding, the stats of the offspring will be determined by a number of factors, one of which is a breeding stat multiplier that is set by the generation of the male Bee used during breeding. Each generation has a range of multipliers which will be applied during the breeding process to determine the final stats of the offspring Bee:
- Genesis Bees 1.3 - 1.9 multiplier
- First Generation Bees 1.2 - 1.9 multiplier
- Second Generation Bees 1.1 - 1.9 multiplier
- Third Generation Bees 1.1 - 1.8 multiplier
- Z Generation Bees cannot breed
