Best way to get 5 free Generations Bee Egg shards from a Gen Z Bee
- Hatch a Gen Z Egg — Every player gets free hatches each month, check the timer at the top to the Hatching Machine screen to see when your next free Hatch is due
- Apply 10 upgrades to your new Bee
- Use this Bee to Hunt — Send him to Lands that have no competition and are just about to drop a pot so you complete your 60 Hunts as quickly as possible (see this video for instructions)
- Convert the Bee for 5 Generation Egg shards and 40 utility shards
- Repeat! You will soon have enough Generations Egg shards to make a Generation Bee!

Top Tips for Growing Hives!
• Build your hive like you are already level 30. All Bees that match your Queen’s mood are great, but the more diligently you try to build landform matches and like matches among your Bees of similar Endurance, the better off you’ll be down the road.
• Upgrading is expensive, wait to do it. If you’re Hunting actively, using your Harvest yields to buy new Bees, or Breeding, your hive is going to grow. If you waste all your precious upgrade shards before your hive is finished growing, you’ll regret it, I promise!
• Everyone has their own playstyle, but history has shown that Hunting is the fastest way to grow your hive. Eventually, you will start Harvesting much more than you are Hunting, but it takes Honey to make Honey and the most effective use of land slots for small to medium sized hives includes a large block of lands reserved for Honeypot sniping.
September’s Top Tip
This month’s tip comes from Anti. You may recognize him from the floor price updates he shares on his Twitter/X account and in his channel in our Honeyland Discord server.
Let’s learn a bit more about Anti!
How did you learn about Honeyland and how long have you been playing?
I was told about Honeyland by RXIS while being his scholar in Crypto Unicorns, I’ve been playing since August 2023.
What was your biggest mistake when you started playing (and how did you fix it)?
I was very careful to read the FAQs and ask a lot of questions of other players to help prevent mistakes
What’s your favorite Bee trait?
I love all devilish bee traits! Horns, Devil & Angel, Devil Wings
Hunt, Harvest, or PvP? What’s your favorite way to play?
Harvest
What’s the best tip you have for someone just starting Honeyland?
Monitoring the in-game marketplace prices of assets and items can be really powerful knowledge.
Staying informed about how much assets/items are worth can be used to:— Buy cheap, sell higher— Keep you from underpricing your items when selling
More thoughts on pricing:
Its all about demand, some moods are more expensive, some moods are cheaper, in my personal opinion every mood is equal. If you are going to list a Bee without underpricing it, it’s always best to search the marketplace to find a Bee that’s as similar as possible to yours. Use the price of that Bee to help you decide what price to set for your Bee.
Remember, you can always change the price.
In the process of making price charts each day, I’ve learned that every single announcement, or word from a team can drastically change what is happening in the in-game marketplace, so staying up to date with what's going in Discord and other things like reading the Medium articles can be profitable. Sometime rumors can move the market as well.
Thanks for the tip Anti!
