Apply Cosmetics to your male Bees to customize their appearance and change their stats.

How to acquire Cosmetics

  • Purchase from the in-game Cosmetic shop 
  • Receive as gifts from friends
  • Win in Raffles
  • Receive as rewards for completing Season Passes
  • Airdrops 
  • Other special events

How to apply Cosmetics

Use Trait Swap inside the Bee Lab to view your inventory of available Cosmetics, preview how they will look on your Bees, and transform your Bees by applying the Cosmetics.

  • Visit the Bee Lab inside the game
  • Scroll to the right until you see Trait Swap
  • Tap Trait Swap
  • Choose the Bee you want to change
  • Tap "Cosmetic" (above the list of Bees) to choose the cosmetic you want to apply
  • Tap "Preview" to see how it will look, then "Wear" under the Bee on the left

Congratulations on your new Bee!

CAUTION: If you swap out a trait, any boosts from the old trait will be lost. 

Chase Bees, one-of-one Bees, and some Mad Honey Vial Bees are not eligible for trait swap. 

Stat calculation

When you add both upgrades and cosmetics that include upgrades, here's how the final stat is calculated:

The formula: (Base Stat X Upgrade) + Cosmetic Upgrades = Total Stat

Said another way, upgrades are calculated first and then any additional stats from cosmetics will be added on top.

Example:

You have a 200 stat. You add a mythic upgrade for a 5% boost. That's 200 x 1.05 = 210. Any cosmetic trait boost would be on top of the 210. Let's assume you had a 20 point cosmetic boost. That stat would now be 230.

Your next mythic upgrade would be 210 x 1.05 = 221 plus the 20 point boost for 241.

If you remove the cosmetic that is providing the boost, the boost will also be removed. The cosmetic will be burned (destroyed) and you will no longer have access to it.

Like and Dislike change Cosmetics

Special events may include cosmetics that change the like or dislike of your Bee. After the event, these cosmetics may appear in raffles or the in-game shop.

The like or dislike acquired through these cosmetics can't be changed simply by adding a new cosmetic. The new cosmetic must specifically be able to change the like or dislike. 

Cosmetic gifts

You can send one Common or Epic cosmetic upgrade to a person on your friends list each day! Your friend will claim your gift on their rewards page.

To send a cosmetic gift:

  • Visit Trait Swap
  • Choose a cosmetic
  • Tap the “Send as Gift” button - this will bring up your Friends list
  • Tap “Send” next to the friend you want to receive your gift
  • Tap Yes to complete the transaction

Your friend will claim the gift by visiting their rewards screen and tapping on the Misc. button.

Monthly Cosmetics

Completing the Season Pass each month includes a Monthly Cosmetic reward (varies based on the type of Season Pass you complete). Here are samples of Monthly Cosmetics from 2024.

Special Edition Cosmetics

Honeyland regularly releases limited edition cosmetics allowing you to change the looks (and sometimes the stats) of your Bees.

NOTE: When you apply a cosmetic to a Bee using Trait Swap, the current trait is removed from the Bee and you will no longer have access to it. If the current trait was providing a stat boost to your Bee, that stat boost will also be removed.

Success Kid - T-shirt (Epic) and Hoodie (Legendary) featuring the Success Kid have been added to the Cosmetic Marketplace. They will randomly appear.

VGX Top Hat -  LIMITED TIME OFFER, All players receive a VGX Top Hat. When you fuse the top hat to a Bee it will give that Bee a +3 to its Capacity stat! Plus it looks very cool.

  • The VGX Top Hat must be claimed inside Honeyland starting Wednesday, June 12 at 00:00 UTC through Wednesday, June 19 at 23:59 UTC
  • The top hat is free to claim
  • It’s also free to fuse
  • You do not need to fuse the hat during the claim window, once you claim it, it’s yours

1-1 Genesis Bees - Each Genesis Bee that is hatched has a chance of being a unique Bee. NOTE: 1-1 Genesis Bees are not eligible for further cosmetic upgrades.

Chase Bees - Each month, players who Breed their Genesis Male Bee, or Hatch a Genesis, Gen 1, or Gen 2 Egg have a chance to receive that month's Chase Bee. 

NASA Traits - NASA traits were first offered in April 2024. They will appear randomly in the Cosmetic Shop going forward.

When applied to a Bee:

  • Hoodies boost Endurance 3 points
  • Space Suit boosts Endurance 20 points
  • Hats boost Endurance 3 points
  • Helmets boost Capacity 20 points

Stepn Traits - In April 2024, through a partnership with Stepn, Bees were able to have shoes for the first time! Players could purchase one set of Legendary shoes or up to 50 sets of Common shoes.

When applied to a Bee:

  • Legendary shoes boost Agility and Endurance by 10 points
  • Common shoes boost Agility and Endurance by 3 points

Cibona Traits - In February 2024, Our partnership with the Cibona basketball team brought Cibona Jerseys and Cibona Basketballs to the game.

Cibona Jersey

  • Cosmetic change: The Jersey will permanently replace the clothes the Bee is currently wearing.
  • Boost: Fusing a Cibona Jersey to a Bee increases that Bee's Endurance stat by 30 points. The additional points are added on top of any Endurance upgrades you have done or will do, it will not be factored in as you do upgrades.
  • Like change: Adding the Jersey changes the Bee's like to Cibona. Liking Cibona means the Bee will have a 30% boost to its Capacity when Harvesting even if it is alone on a mission. 

Cibona Basketball

  • Cosmetic change: The Basketball will permanently replace whatever the Bee has in its hand.
  • Fusing a Cibona Basketball to a Bee increases that Bee's Capacity stat by 30 points.  The additional points are added on top of any Capacity upgrades you have done or will do, it will not be factored in as you do upgrades. 
  • Like change: Adding the Basketball changes the Bee's like to Cibona. Liking Cibona means the Bee will have a 30% boost to its Capacity when Harvesting even if it is alone on a mission. 

Mad Honey Experiment #2  - let you burn a MHV to change the art of your Bee to a special Bee. The new Bee was designed by one of 8 artists that partnered with Honeyland! Experiment #2 was open from August 19 to August 26, 2023. NOTE: MHV#2 Bees are not eligible for further cosmetic upgrades.
